Tasks You Didn't Know Could Be Outsourced
Case #01
PROBLEM: This freelance lawyer needed support and was absolutely drowning in cases, their desk a sea of papers. They'd even caught themselves mixing up client names in documents more than once, constantly fearing a confidentiality breach.
FIXED: We implemented a system to try to avoid these issues, teaching them techniques was one. But when they still felt insecure or didn't have time to check it, they sent them to me to proofread.
Case #02
PROBLEM: A client needed a website launched ASAP, but agencies usually quote three months for this, Fiverr's like Russian roulette, and they didn't have enough time or knowledge to build fast a website.
FIXED: Their new website? Delivered. No months-long wait, just a fresh site ready to go.
Case #03
PROBLEM: An Airbnb was empty and it needed to be furnished without endless back and forth.
FIXED: IKEA ordered, assembled, and ready to go.
Case #04
PROBLEM: A client needed 'something' that wouldn't cost a fortune.
FIXED: I knew just the place.
Case #05
PROBLEM: Someone new to Barcelona felt Spanish bureaucracy was eating their soul trying to get an NIE and needed help.
FIXED: Guess what, of course I didn't solve it. Remember I'm allergic to bureaucracy? BUT I know the pros. I connected them with someone good, effective, and cheap.
Case #06
PROBLEM: A rookie entrepreneur needed to send an invoice but didn't have time to design it.
FIXED: Here you go! Check your Google Drive, email, and WhatsApp. I'd already sent it.
Case #07
PROBLEM: Client's day was a marathon of meetings, but as a freelancer, they had no receptionist. The phone was ringing, maybe it was nothing or maybe it was potential clients slipping away through their fingers and ads were going to voicemail. Lots of anxiety.
FIXED: They redirected calls to me when unavailable, and I acted as a virtual receptionist for a few hours, answering calls.
Case #08
PROBLEM: Running a small business sounded great until the client met their arch-nemesis: endless administrative tasks. Missed deadlines, mistakes, missed important emails.
FIXED: I took charge of the admin for a few hours during the mornings. Soon, the business could afford a full-time employee, a true mark of success in Spain!
Case #09
PROBLEM: A solo-entrepreneur who was the CEO, CFO, and office manager, had been turning down exciting opportunities because there was literally only one of them.
FIXED: I became their hourly business partner. Now the team is growing! I still get called to cover some meetings when one of the team members cannot make it, and as I am familiar with their business, it seems like I'm genuinely part of the team.
Case #10
PROBLEM: Client's receptionist was on leave, but the workload didn't get the memo.
FIXED: I covered the role, not fully but on some key days. Staff gap filled.
Case #11
PROBLEM: They owned a property or an Airbnb but lived elsewhere and needed someone local to keep an eye on things.
FIXED: Property managed. Regular checks, issue handling, plant care, and between-tenant tasks - all handled. It was one of my most in-demand services, actually.
Case #12
PROBLEM: An Argentinian fashionista visited Barcelona yearly but kept missing out on seasonal sales.
FIXED: Sales shopping done. She shopped in July sales for her September trip, saving over 50% on her favorite Spanish brands.
Case #13
PROBLEM: A Russian health enthusiast loved European supplements but lacked a shipping address.
FIXED: With my "Drop Zone," he ordered anytime, collecting months of supplies each visit. This saved him time, and he spent his trips enjoying the city instead of shopping. (This service is obsolete.)
Case #14
PROBLEM: Someone new in the city faced a doctor's visit and really didn't want to go through it alone.
FIXED: I act as a medical appointment companion and translator, I speak Spanish, Russian and English. I went with them, offering company and translating when needed. It's actually one of the most reassuring services I provide.
Case #15
PROBLEM: The parents were worried their young adult doing Erasmus in Barcelona didn't really have a local friend in case they needed one, like an expat support.
FIXED: Their young adult had my contact and messaged me whenever they needed something. Peace of mind for everyone.
Case #16
PROBLEM: A client was looking for a new place but couldn't take time off work for viewings. Dealing with Spanish-speaking agents also wasn't fun.
FIXED: I went for viewings, dealt with the Spanish agents, and showed them only the best options that fit their needs.
Case #17
PROBLEM: Important papers needed to cross town, but they were too busy and couldn't trust random couriers with confidential documents.
FIXED: I delivered them personally, ensuring they reached the right hands securely.
Case #18
PROBLEM: Client was moving to a new place and needed services fixed, but struggling with all the Spanish-only options.
FIXED: I took charge of it, waited for technicians, and made sure everything was working properly.
Case #19
PROBLEM: A sudden domestic issue caught a client empty-handed with no local knowledge, and they couldn't explain the problem in Spanish to get help.
FIXED: Client called me, and I handled the Spanish emergency calls, coordinated repairs, and got the issue solved.
Case #20
PROBLEM: Client was renovating their flat but couldn't be there to oversee workers.
FIXED: I oversaw the workers, opened and closed the door when needed, and kept them updated every step of the way, consulting on any decisions outside our agreed scope.
Case #21
PROBLEM: Living in Barcelona can feel lonely, even when you're surrounded by people. This client just wanted to get a coffee or dinner and talk about stuff.
FIXED: Honestly, there's nothing I enjoy more than deep conversations or analysis. We do it once a month now. But usually I order tea - but the conversation is still good.
Case #22
PROBLEM: A property owner had a parking spot that could earn €80/month but couldn't manage the rental process themselves.
FIXED: Give me the keys. I put it on the market, and now it's generating passive income.
Case #23
PROBLEM: Someone traveling to Barcelona wanted to shop online in advance but had no local address to send deliveries to.
FIXED: Is that even a problem? Send it to me. (For recurring clients, I have a direct drop-zone service; new clients send it to a shop and I pick them up and store them.)
Case #24
PROBLEM: I stopped working full-time, but my former boss still needed occasional PA assistance, just not full-time anymore.
FIXED: My former boss bought hourly packages and uses them exactly when needed.
